Congresswoman Valerie Foushee, representing North Carolina's 4th district, has voiced her concerns regarding recent actions by the current administration. Her tweets highlight issues related to education and NASA workforce reductions.

On March 20, 2025, Congresswoman Foushee expressed her disapproval of a new executive order affecting education in North Carolina. She stated that "The Department of Education supports 1.6 million students across North Carolina's K-12 schools. This unconstitutional and heartless executive order won’t just affect our schools, it will also directly impact our children and their future."

Continuing her critique on the same day, she added that as a former school board member, she is "deeply concerned by the far-reaching implications of this order.""I stand with NASA employees, who are being villainized across the board by this Administration and facing threats of unjustified layoffs." To combat these layoffs, she introduced the Saving NASA's Workforce Act alongside Representative Zoe Lofgren.
