Congresswoman Valerie Foushee, currently serving North Carolina’s 4th district in the U.S Congress, made a series of announcements on April 8, 2025, via social media that highlight her engagement with her constituents, international policy issues, and workforce-related concerns.

In a statement issued on April 8, 2025, Valerie Foushee announced, "TOMORROW 4/9: My office will be holding Mobile Office Hours at the Chatham County Historic Courthouse from 11AM – 1PM. If you are experiencing issues with a federal agency, come by to speak with a member of my constituent services team – we are here to serve you!" This event aims to assist those experiencing difficulties with federal agencies.

On the same day, April 8, Foushee expressed concern over recent policy changes affecting South Sudanese passport holders, stating "Revoking visas held by South Sudanese passport holders hurts families, students, athletes, and workers across NC during a time when their home country faces a potential civil war. I sent a letter with @RepDeborahRoss urging Secretary Rubio to reverse this unconscionable policy." This is in response to current geopolitical tensions influencing the lives of her constituents with South Sudanese ties.

In another post on the same day, Foushee criticized workforce policies under the former administration, noting, "Trump's reckless workforce cuts are risking the livelihoods of over 82,000 federal workers in NC. I'm proud to join @RepShriThanedar in introducing the Tax Relief for Fired Workers Act to provide financial support to impacted civil servants by removing federal income taxes on." She indicates proactive measures being taken through legislation to address these concerns.
