Valerie Foushee, a U.S. Congresswoman representing North Carolina’s 4th district, has expressed her views on several pressing issues through recent social media posts. Serving in Congress since 2023 after replacing David Price, Foushee has a background in state politics and local governance.

On February 19, 2025, Congresswoman Foushee criticized an order by Trump and Musk to terminate federal employees providing essential services. She stated: "The Trump-Musk order to fire federal employees who provide critical services to everyday Americans is a senseless approach to government efficiency." Emphasizing the impact on over 50,000 federal employees in North Carolina, she affirmed her commitment to protecting their jobs.

The following day, February 20, 2025, Foushee commented on former President Trump's remarks about President Zelensky of Ukraine. She tweeted: "Trump's comments about President Zelensky are shameful and show his fragility as a leader." She accused Trump of prioritizing Russian interests over American values.

Later that same day, Foushee invited constituents to join her for an educational webinar on legal rights scheduled for the evening. In her tweet she said: "TONIGHT: Join me at 6:30 for my Know Your Rights webinar!" The event aimed to inform participants about their legal rights with insights from immigration law professionals.
