Congresswoman Valerie Foushee, representing North Carolina's Fourth District, shared several updates on social media regarding her upcoming events and views on current issues. Her recent posts cover a range of topics from community engagement to national policy concerns.

On February 12, 2025, Congresswoman Foushee invited constituents to join her for a telephone town hall scheduled for that evening at 6:30 PM. She announced the event via Twitter, encouraging residents of the Fourth District to participate in discussions with fellow representatives Jasmine Crockett, Maxwell Frost, and Joe Neguse. The conversation aimed to address important issues affecting the district. Constituents were provided with a dial-in number for participation. "Join me TONIGHT at 6:30PM for my telephone town hall! Tune in to hear me, @RepJasmine, @RepMaxwellFrost, and @RepJoeNeguse discuss important issues that matter most to the residents of the Fourth District."

Later that day, Foushee commemorated the 116th anniversary of the NAACP by acknowledging its pivotal role in advocating for equality and racial justice across America. She emphasized the ongoing relevance of the NAACP's mission in striving towards an inclusive society. "Today, we celebrate 116 years of the #NAACP, which has been at the front lines in the fight for equality and racial justice for all Americans."

In another post on February 12th, Congresswoman Foushee expressed concern over proposed budget cuts to the National Institutes of Health (NIH). She warned that such cuts could negatively impact universities and research institutions in North Carolina by hindering cancer research initiatives. Foushee criticized what she described as prioritizing financial gains over essential disease prevention efforts. ".@NIH budget cuts will hurt North Carolina universities and local research institutions, and stifle cutting-edge cancer research initiatives."
