On January 29, 2025, Foushee extended her well wishes for the Lunar New Year. She wrote, "Happy Lunar New Year to everyone celebrating in the Fourth District and beyond! May this new year bring happiness, prosperity, and good health for all." This message was accompanied by the hashtag #YearOfTheSnake.

Later that day, Foushee addressed concerns over a pause in funding related to significant legislative acts. She stated on January 29, 2025: "Trump's pause on Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding leaves thousands of infrastructure projects across the country in flux." Foushee mentioned joining with 153 other House Democrats to request a detailed list of affected initiatives from the administration.

On January 30, 2025, Congresswoman Foushee expressed her condolences following an accident at Reagan National Airport. She tweeted: "I am heartbroken by the devastating collision at Reagan National Airport last night." She conveyed her sympathy to the victims' families and praised first responders for their efforts during the incident.
