Congresswoman Valerie Foushee, representing North Carolina's 4th District, recently shared a series of tweets highlighting various events and initiatives. Foushee has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2023, succeeding David Price. She has previously held positions in the North Carolina House of Representatives, the North Carolina Senate, and the Orange County Board of Commissioners.

On December 3, 2024, Foushee expressed gratitude to participants of her Congressional App Challenge awards reception. "Thank you to all of the students and families who joined my Congressional App Challenge awards reception! I was happy to see so many students in the Fourth District participate in this year's competition & I can't wait to see the great work you all will accomplish in the future."

Later that day, Foushee reminded constituents about healthcare open enrollment. "REMINDER: Healthcare Open Enrollment is open until January 15! Whether you are looking for new coverage or to update your existing plan—now is the time to act. Coverage is more affordable than ever through the ACA marketplace."

On December 5, 2024, she commemorated a significant event from the Civil Rights Movement. "On this day in 1955, the Montgomery Bus Boycott began, a powerful & peaceful protest and a foundational event of the Civil Rights Movement. Today and every day, we honor this historic moment by continuing the pursuit and fight for true justice for all."
