Durham Fire Department issued the following announcement on Mar. 25.
On 3/25/2022 at approximately 3:30 AM, the Durham Fire Department was dispatched to a reported house fire in the 1200 block of N Mangum St. Upon arriving, the first units reported a two story residential structure with fire coming from the roof and side of the house. The department responded with 40 firefighters and it took approximately 25 minutes to get the fire under control. The house was not occupied at the time of the fire, but the three adults who reside there have been displaced due to heavy fire damage throughout the house. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident and the American Red Cross has been notified to assist the residents. The department was assisted by Durham Police and Durham County EMS on this incident. The origin and cause of the fire are still under investigation at this time.
