Durham Police Department issued the following announcement on Dec. 5.
Officers of DPD's Financial Crimes Unit want your holidays to be happy - free of scams, fraud and identify theft. This season the unit is meeting with businesses and organizations to provide strategies for prevention of elder financial fraud in particular.
