On March 18, 2025, Congresswoman Foushee addressed the potential impact of proposed budget cuts on research and development employees in North Carolina. She stated that "My district is home to the largest EPA campus in the country & these proposed cuts could impact R&D employees here in NC. I'm working with my colleagues to pursue all legislative avenues to block these constitutionally dubious cuts to our workforce."

In another tweet on the same day, she criticized former President Trump's plan regarding environmental policy. She wrote that "Trump's plan to gut the @EPA's Office of Research & Development will devastate our ability to address public health risks across the country."

On March 19, 2025, Congresswoman Foushee discussed food insecurity issues following a meeting with CORA Food Pantry. She emphasized that "I met with @CORAFoodPantry to discuss their critical work in combatting food insecurity within our community.
