The Law Offices of James Scott Farrin said they will start taking cases involving fraud in nursing homes and help nursing home workers who come forward to report fraud, the firm said in a statement on June 18

The firm created a web page under NC Whistleblower Attorneys for people seeking more information regarding complaints. The company is also taking whistleblower complaints related to Medicare, Medicaid or other health care fraud.

"Because of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, regulatory agencies — and the government as a whole — have more things to keep an eye on, and they may have fewer people under employ," the firm said on its whistleblower website. "We will likely see an upsurge in nursing home-related lawsuits stemming from misconduct during this crisis in the next few months and years. And Medicare/Medicaid healthcare fraud will be at the forefront of common allegations."
