Congresswoman Valerie Foushee, representing North Carolina's 4th district, shared her views on several pressing issues through a series of tweets. Foushee, who succeeded David Price in 2023, addressed concerns regarding a Cabinet appointment, advocated for transgender rights, and condemned personal attacks against a fellow Congress member.

On November 20, 2024, Congresswoman Foushee expressed her concerns about the allegations against Matt Gaetz. She emphasized the importance of transparency in his Cabinet appointment process by stating: "The allegations against Matt Gaetz are deeply concerning & it is critical the Senate has all the facts to make an informed decision on his Cabinet appointment. I joined my colleagues in calling for the immediate release of the Gaetz report—the American people deserve the truth."

Later that day, Foushee highlighted her commitment to transgender rights on Transgender Day of Remembrance. In her tweet posted at 17:02:48 UTC, she stated: "On #TransgenderDayofRemembrance, we mourn the lives of transgender people that were lost to violence & hate. Congress must do more to protect the trans community. As a member of the @EqualityCaucus, I’m committed to ending anti-trans violence & securing a safer future for all."

In another tweet from November 20 at 18:55:57 UTC, Foushee addressed personal attacks against Congresswoman-elect Sarah McBride. She remarked: "These personal attacks directed towards Congresswoman-elect McBride are hateful and cannot be tolerated—period. @SarahEMcBride is an accomplished legislator and I'm excited to work alongside her in Congress to deliver real results for the American people."
