Morrisville Fire/Rescue Department issued the following announcement on Dec. 28.
We are proud and extremely excited to announce we have received Accredited Agency status with the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI) for meeting the criteria established through the CFAI's voluntary self-assessment and accreditation program. We are one of more than 250 fire departments to achieve Internationally Accredited Agency status with the CFAI and the Center for Public Safety Excellence, Inc. (CPSE).
Achieving and remaining accredited is an intensive process that takes tens of thousands of hours of work by all members and reflects the idea of continuous improvement ingrained into our department's DNA. We want to thank our citizens, elected officials, town administration, and our emergency services partners, most importantly the Cary Fire Department and the Town of Apex Fire Department.
