City of Raleigh issued the following announcement on Dec. 27.
City of Raleigh to Observe New Year's Day Holiday
City administrative offices will be closed Friday, Dec. 31 for the New Year's Holiday. Emergency police, fire and rescue services may be reached by calling 9-1-1.
Trash/Recycling and Yard Waste
Trash, recycling, and yard waste collection will operate on a normal schedule.
Transit
GoRaleigh will operate on a Sunday-level service on Saturday, Jan. 1. For more information on bus schedules, visit www.GoRaleigh.org or contact 919-485-7433.
