North Carolina Courage defender Kaleigh Kurtz has been recognized by the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) as part of the Best XI for October and November. The announcement was made by the league office on Friday, with Amazon Prime sponsoring the honor.
This marks Kurtz's first monthly recognition in 2024, making her the fourth player from North Carolina Courage to receive this accolade during the season. Her teammate Malia Berkely was included in the Best XI for March/April and September, while Ashley Sanchez and Meredith Speck received honors in July.
Kurtz's performance during the four matches considered for this award included winning two tackles and 15 duels, achieving five interceptions, executing 24 clearances, and completing 87.9% of her passes without committing any fouls.
Kurtz recently finished her third consecutive Iron Woman season and continues to hold an NWSL record for consecutive regular season minutes played.
Looking ahead, Kurtz and her team will face Kansas City Current in the NWSL playoffs quarterfinals on Saturday at noon ET. The match will be available on CBS and streamed via Paramount+.
