County of Durham issued the following announcement on Apr. 25.
The Durham Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) is hosting an in-person Work Session at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 2, 2022. Meetings are held inside the Commissioners’ Chambers, located on the second floor of the Administration I Building at 200 E. Main St.
The public is welcome to attend all BOCC meetings. Seating is limited inside the Chambers due to social distancing guidelines. Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis, with priority given to County staff. A low-capacity overflow seating area will be provided in the lobby on the second floor of the Administration Building.
While social distancing will be established with seat arrangements, in-person attendees are reminded of the benefits of masking while in indoor spaces populated by others.
Residents who wish to participate in meetings are encouraged to continue using the virtual option and watch live on the County’s website.
Residents wishing to deliver citizen comments or to comment regarding agenda items in person will need to sign up prior to the meeting in the lobby. If seating is full in the Chambers, they will be asked to remain in the lobby and staff will come and get them when spacing permits.
The option to submit comments virtually remains. All comments should be emailed to the Clerk to the Board at clerk@dconc.gov. Comments must be submitted by 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 1. Submissions must include a full name and address.
The agenda for Monday’s BOCC meeting can be accessed here, when available.
The next Regular Session for the Board will be on Monday, May 9 at 7 p.m. This meeting will include County Manager Dr. Kimberly J. Sowell’s 2022-2023 Recommended Budget presentation to the Board. The schedule of meetings for 2022 can be viewed here.
