Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Durham Technical Community College

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Durham Technical Community College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

North Carolina residents paid $1,958 to attend the two-year public institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Non-residents paid 235.3 percent more than residents this year, or $6,566. Their price tag was unchanged from $6,566 in 2017-18.

About 99 percent of the school's undergraduate population are North Carolina residents. And about 1 percent are residents of other states.

Data shows 83 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 191 students received grants or scholarships totaling $768,664 and 19 students took out student loans totaling more than $97,216.

Including all undergraduates (5,434), 2,353 students used grants or scholarships totaling $9.4 million, and 613 students took out $4.2 million in federal student loans.
