Congresswoman Valerie Foushee recently shared her perspectives on aviation safety, education, and local infrastructure through a series of tweets. As a member of the Aviation Subcommittee, she has been actively engaging with relevant parties to discuss these issues.

On March 27, 2025, Congresswoman Foushee tweeted, “As a member of the @TransportDems Aviation Subcommittee, it was a pleasure to meet with @RDUAirport air traffic controllers to discuss staffing and how to improve flight safety. Trump looks at aviation accidents and blames it on these workers, but I say let’s get them the.”

Later on the same day, she emphasized the importance of education and support services for children, expressing concern about the impact of certain political decisions. She said, “No parent should have to worry about their child’s education and support services—full stop. Trump’s actions continue to hurt families in North Carolina and across the country. Continuing her focus on local infrastructure, Foushee, also on March 27, 2025, engaged with the RDU Airport CEO on recent airport improvements. She stated, “It was great meeting with @RDUAirport CEO Michael Landguth to discuss recent updates to the airport and ways to maintain air traffic safety. As a member of the Aviation Subcommittee, I’m always proud to support this major transportation hub that serves millions of passengers.”
