On November 26, 2024, Congresswoman Foushee highlighted a significant health concern regarding the contamination of Department of Defense installations with PFAS chemicals. She stated that “An estimated 700 DoD installations nationwide are contaminated with PFAS, putting the health of servicemembers at risk.” She also mentioned her involvement in urging House and Senate Armed Services leadership to include protective measures for servicemembers in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

Later on November 26, 2024, she expressed gratitude for being honored by the Durham Branch NAACP during their Freedom Fund Banquet.
