Town Of Morrisville issued the following announcement on Dec. 28.

The Great Trails State Coalition announces the launch of the 2023 North Carolina Year of the Trail campaign.

 NC Year of the Trail will celebrate and draw attention to North Carolina’s vast network of trails, greenways, and blueways.

The Town of Morrisville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department is kicking off #FirstDayOutdoors with a guided walk on Sunday, Jan. 1, at 2 p.m., Cedar Fork District Park, 228 Aviation Parkway.

Participants can choose between a 1-mile or 0.5-mile out-and-back guided walk along Crabtree Creek and Hatcher Creek Greenway. 

We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to the start.
