The North Carolina Football Club, which oversees the North Carolina Courage and North Carolina FC, has announced a partnership with Jump, a fan experience platform designed for professional sports teams. This collaboration positions the club as the first direct-to-consumer professional sports team.

The platform will be used to manage fan engagement, covering ticketing, sales, mobile app functions, and tools for personalizing experiences both inside and outside the stadium. Fans will benefit from having one account for purchasing tickets, merchandise, or food on game days without any additional fees.

Ralph Vuono, COO of North Carolina Football Club, emphasized their commitment to innovation and improving fan relationships. "We saw an opportunity to be on the frontier of sports technology and couldn’t be more excited to implement Jump’s capabilities," Vuono stated.

Jump's software is notable for its flexibility and absence of ticketing fees. The platform was developed in consultation with executives from over 70 professional sports teams across major leagues. It aims to empower clubs by allowing them full ownership of their fan relationships.

Jordy Leiser, CEO and co-founder of Jump, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: “We’re thrilled to partner with the North Carolina Football Club as Jump’s first professional sports team partner.” He highlighted how Jump unifies digital interactions into a seamless platform that helps teams connect deeply with fans.

The North Carolina Courage began playing in 2017 in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) after Steve Malik acquired and relocated the Western New York Flash franchise. They have won multiple league trophies including three NWSL Shields and two NWSL Championships. Their home games are held at First Horizon Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park.

North Carolina FC was established in 2006 and plays in the USL Championship. The club has previously been successful as NASL regular season champions and USL League One Champions. Formerly known as the Carolina RailHawks until rebranding after Steve Malik's acquisition in 2015, they also play at First Horizon Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park.

Jump was founded in 2021 by Marc Lore, Alex Rodriguez, and Jordy Leiser. It is supported by venture firms such as Forerunner Ventures and Courtside Ventures. The company has raised $35 million in funding.
