Durham Parks and Recreation issued the following announcement on May 17.
Durham Parks and Recreation offers a summer series that includes concerts and movies in a beautiful setting - Durham's parks. Sit back, relax and enjoy family and friends while grooving to music or watching a movie on a big screen. Both activities are free and open to the public. Food vendors will be on site and food will be available for purchase.
Both concerts and movies are FREE and open to the public. Concerts are held from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. and movies are held from 8:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. Please bring blankets and lawn chairs. No alcohol or smoking allowed.
Events may be canceled in the case of severe inclement weather. Call the weather line at 919-560-4636 and press Number 8 for the status of the event.
