City of Raleigh issued the following announcement on Mar. 4.
Have you ever wondered how your City tax dollars are used? In Raleigh, your property tax and sales tax, among other fees, help fund road improvements, park services, trash and recycling pickup, emergency services, and much more. The City of Raleigh continues to rank as one of the best places in the country to live due in part to our sound budget management.
Every year the Budget and Management Services Department is tasked with balancing the City’s budget. This is done by considering the priorities set by City Council as well as priorities set by the Raleigh Community. This is where you come in! We’d like to learn what your priorities are for the coming fiscal year (July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023) Take our short budget priority survey. If you prefer to not take the online survey, you may request a physical copy of the survey by calling 919-996-4270 or stopping by our office at 222 W. Hargett St. Suite 311 Raleigh, NC. The responses will be analyzed by City staff, and we will share your input with City Council to help inform their priorities for the upcoming budget. We will also post the results for everyone to see so you can see how your neighbors ranked their priorities!
Thank you for participating - your input will help us build a Raleigh for All. The survey closes on March 31, 2022.
