City of Durham issued the following announcement on Feb. 24.
Durham is making history once again with an unprecedented time of female leadership!
In celebration of Women's History Month in March, a dynamic panel of female leaders will come together for the "Women Run Durham" forum to discuss how the Bull City reached this moment in history and what the future looks like.
The event, supported by the Durham County Library and the Durham Library Foundation, will be held on March 1 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Hayti Heritage Center/St. Joseph's Historic Foundation, Inc. at 804 Old Fayetteville St.
The discussion will be moderated by ABC11 WTVD News Anchor Amber Rupinta. Leaders who will join the panel include: Durham County Government Board of Commissioners Chair Brenda Howerton, Durham County Interim County Manager Claudia Hager, Office of the Mayor Elaine O'Neal, City of Durham, NC Government City Manager Wanda Page, and Durham Police Department Chief Patrice Andrews.
