Durham is about to be the home of the Arabella Advisors' fifth office.
The corporation is known for providing support and guidance to leading philanthropists and impact investors around the world. The offices will open in the second quarter of 2020, a February press release states.
Durham was among the 12 cities competing to attract the advising firm. Starting with 20 staff, the firm is planning to make the new Durham office one of its largest.
With headquarters in Washington, D.C, Arabella Advisors has seen its market share grow after opening offices in New York, San Francisco and Chicago.
The move was easy since Fortune considered Raleigh-Durham as among the top three cities to work in America. A press release from the company states Durham was chosen because of a diverse talent pool and its metropolitan area.
"The Raleigh-Durham area scores very high on all major quality of life indices, has excellent public schools, and a commute time half that of other major cities," Arabella Advisors' CEO Sampriti Ganguli stated in the release.
