Morrisville Police Department issued the following announcement on Feb. 23.

On February 21, a swearing-in ceremony was held honoring Pete Acosta as he was sworn in as Chief of Police of the Morrisville Police Department. Chief Acosta’s son Cody had the honor of pinning his badge and the Oath of Office was given by District Court Judge Katie Overby. 

The ceremony was held in Town Council Chambers and speakers included Town Manager Martha Paige, Deputy Town Manager Brandon Zuidema, Mayor TJ Cawley, and Town Council members. 

Congratulations to Chief Acosta! We are proud to have you lead the Morrisville Police Department.
