FOIA Request to Durham County Election Department Regarding Pre-Election Voting Machine Test Reports on October 30, 2024. As a part of our ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at the Durham Reporter have sent a request for public records under the North Carolina Public Records Law, G.S. §132-1.

The request specifically asks for the pre-election test reports of voting machines used in the county’s elections. The report is requested in PDF format and should include specific fields such as the test date, machine manufacture, machine model number, and machine status indicating whether it passed or failed the test.
