Construction work for the East Durham Waterline Replacement project will continue in early March, according to an update from the City of Durham. The city has informed residents that construction crews will be working on sanitary sewer installation near Linwood Avenue between Lincoln and Grant streets, close to Grant Park North.

During the weeks of March 2-6 and March 9-13, contractors will deliver equipment, materials, and traffic control devices to the area. They will also clear existing and proposed sanitary sewer easements and rights-of-way between Grant Street and Lincoln Street. In addition, workers will locate existing utilities within the project zone.

The city has advised that intermittent lane closures are expected during these periods as utility location and preparation work takes place. More information about the project is available at https://www.durhamnc.gov/3853/East-Durham-Waterline-Replacement.

For questions or concerns about the project, residents can contact Jeremy Farlow, Construction Team Manager with the City of Durham, or Jason Knight, Project Manager at Moffat Pipe, Inc.
