The Durham Police Department announced on Mar. 25 that registration is open for its annual Summer Camp, which will be held over four separate weeks during the summer of 2026. The camps are free and will take place June 22-26, July 6-10, July 20-24, and August 3-7, running Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The summer camp aims to provide youth with structured activities during the school break at no cost to families. By offering multiple sessions throughout the summer, the department seeks to reach as many participants as possible.

The announcement encourages interested families to sign up early due to limited space in each session. More information about registration and camp details can be found on the Durham Police Athletic/Activities League website.

Programs like this are part of ongoing efforts by local law enforcement agencies to engage positively with young residents and offer safe environments for recreation and learning when school is out.

Additional updates or changes regarding camp scheduling or activities may be posted on the department’s official channels as summer approaches.
