COUNTY OF DURHAM: Designated Cooling Center on June 14-17
0Comments

County of Durham issued the following announcement on June 13.

As we all deal with the #extremeheat in Durham County this week, individuals should know that Durham County Library’s Main, North, South, Southwest and East Regional locations are currently open during normal business hours as a place to escape the dangerous heat.

All open library locations are also near GoDurham bus stops, which remain fare free in June.

Please note that normal library rules still apply – no food allowed, but you may bring drinks or use the water fountains there if needed.

To see hours of operation for all open Durham County Library locations, visit www.durhamcountylibrary.org.
