CITY OF KINSTON FIRE DEPARTMENT: Reported a Scam Alert

City of Kingston Fire Department issued the following announcement on Dec. 2.

The Kinston Department of Fire and Rescue has reported a Scam Alert to the Kinston Police Department Authorities.  

There is a post from bit.ly going around via Text Message and on other Media Devices stating that they have tee shirts available at $10 off.  

They are requesting you make your orders.

Firefighters from as far as Carey, North Carolina and Havelock, North Carolina have been contacting our Department to inquire about the Shirts.

Kinston Department of Fire and Rescue does not sell any type of merchandise with our logo, seal, or any affiliation of our department and/or City.  No one has the permission from the Administration, City Administration and/or any City Councilmembers to sell any products without strict protocol and guidelines set forth through city policy.
