City of Durham Police Department issued the following announcement on Oct. 24.

Durham Emergency Communication Center is hosting a community coat drive and we need your help! 

 We would love for you all to participate by donating new or gently used coats. 

 We are looking for coat donations of all sizes!  Drop-off locations are at the DPD Substations city-wide!         

 Drop off location is at the Headquarters lobby or 911 center, 602 E Main St.  

Donate new or gently used coats of all sizes to help others stay warm this winter season.
