City of Durham Parks and Recreation Department issued the following announcement on Jan. 3.

Commemorate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at Celebrating the Legacy Through the Arts on January 14! 

Join us at W.D. Hill Recreation Center from 2-5 p.m. for visual art displays, open mic poetry, community discussions, live performances, and arts and crafts, all celebrating the life and contributions of MLK! 

This event is FREE and open to the public.
