City of Durham issued the following announcement on Dec. 28.

Join Office of the Mayor Elaine O’Neal, Durham City Council Members, and Mayors Against Illegal Guns for the National Day of Remembrance for Gun-Related Homicide Victims.

 Friday, December 30 at 3 p.m.

CCB Plaza in front of “Major” the Bull, 201 N. Corcoran St.

Durham is holding a ceremony to remember the victims as part of this nationwide observance. During this time, Mayor O’Neal and City Council will acknowledge each of the lives lost in 2022 and issue a call for action to end gun-related violence.
